Regular season champs!

The 13U Bobcats have posted an 8-1 record this fall, winning the regular-season championship in the Granite State Baseball Association's Middle School Division. In the final game of the regular season, Brody Dupuis tied the game with a solo homer in the sixth inning, and Ben Palmer scored the winning run in the seventh for a 4-3 victory over Concord Cannons B. Ricky Perry (2-0) earned the victory in relief. In the opener, Joseph Quintal (1-0) pitched four strong innings for the win, and Cody Morissette earned his second save of the fall season. Dupuis had four hits in the doubleheader, including the first home run in Bobcats history -- a 360-foot blast to left field at Cawley Middle School.

Congrats to the 13U New Hampshire Bobcats for winning the fall ball regular-season title. Bring on the playoffs!

Bobcat of the Week: Ricky Perry

Starting pitcher Ricky Perry tossed five shutout innings, allowing one hit, to lead the 13U Bobcats in a 2-0 victory against the Concord Cannons on Sunday morning. Perry also had two hits and stole five bases in one of the best all-around performances of the season. The efficient righty faced 18 batters -- only three more than the minimum -- while striking out two and walking one. Mitchell Fama sealed the shutout with four scoreless innings of relief, notching five strikeouts. The Bobcats improved to 5-1 in the Middle School Division of the Granite State Fall Wood Bat League.

Bobcats heading to Cocoa Beach

Lots of cool stuff is happening with the New Hampshire Bobcats. We have entered a team for the 2013 Presidents Day Challenge tourney in Cocoa Beach, Fla., which is a brand-new complex with a championship stadium and seven beautiful diamonds. This Cooperstown-style event will feature a Friday Night Home Run Derby and minimum of four games. Cost is $195 per player for lodging, meals and all baseball for Feb. 15-18 ... We currently have the top two spots in the GSBA Fall Wood Bat League. Bobcats Blue has a 4-1 record, and Bobcats White is 3-1-1 ... Thanks to everyone who helped out with the recent raffle. We made a $200 donation to the Multiple Sclerosis Society!
