The Bobcats are hosting tryouts for 11U and 12U teams for the 2014 spring season on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Sanel Park in Concord. The workout will be held at Al Field from noon to 1:30 p.m. A player's age classification for the 2014 season is determined by how old he is on May 1, 2014. The Bobcats will play in the New England Elite Baseball League from April through early June. Doubleheaders will be played on Sundays, most likely at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. This enables young players to participate in their Little League or Cal Ripken seasons on Saturdays.
The head coach for the 11U team is Kevin Gray, and the head coach for the 12U team is Jeff Montembeault. The tuition cost is $1250 per player, with families receiving a $500 discount per extra family member. For example, if an older brother is playing 14U and a younger brother is playing 12U, the total cost per family is $2,000 instead of $2,500.
The tuition includes a 25-game spring schedule and winter workouts every Sunday from 9-11 a.m. at Ultimate Sports Academy in Manchester. (The Bobcats have rented the entire building, so lots of room!) These winter workouts will be held from January through March. A midweek workout will be held at Concord Sports Center on Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuition also includes two travel tournaments during the spring.
