Bobcats Team of the Week

With a doubleheader sweep against Legends Gold, the 12u Bobcats White improved to 8-1 on the season and currently lead the New England Elite Baseball League in several pitching and hitting categories. The team is coached by Jeff Beleski and Ryan Schuff. The hot-hitting 'Cats have won six straight games, including an epic 27-16 victory at the Keene Swamp Bats, a game in which the Bobcats trailed by 10 runs. Tim Alley leads the team with a .526 batting average, while Tyler Beleski (.630 OBP), Kotsania Chikosi (three homers, 15 RBIs) and Sam Dicicco (team-leading 12 hits) have also been fueling the offense. Right-hander Michael Girard (3-0, 1.73 ERA) has been dominant on the mound and unstoppable on the base paths, recording a league-leading 22 steals. The first-place Bobcats play at Academy National on Sunday.

Grand slam highlights weekend at NEBC

Connor Haas belted his first career grand slam, lifting Bobcats Navy to a 9-6 victory against the New England Storm in 11u games this weekend. Cameron Olivo also homered for the second consecutive weekend as coach Joe Evans' squad won two games on Saturday. In other 11u games, Bobcats White advanced to the championship bracket with a 9-1 triumph over the Braintree Bandits. Left-hander Michael Thresher pitched a scoreless three innings to lead the way, and Thomas Speltz was solid in relief.
Koko Chikosi homered to lead Bobcats Beleski in 12u tournament play. Overall, the Bobcats organization won seven games at New England Baseball Complex and thoroughly enjoyed a great weekend of baseball!

Bobcats 5th season underway!

Michael Girard, Dylan Schuff and Sam Dicicco pitched the Bobcats to a doubleheader sweep against the 12u Black Flies, kicking off the start of the 2016 travel season on Saturday. Girard worked three innings, striking out seven, as the Bobcats won the season opener, 6-4. Schuff pitched the final three innings, fanning three, for the save. In the second game, Dicicco pitched three innings and struck out six, yielding no walks, in the Bobcats' 3-2 victory. In the 11u Division, Nathan Innerfield pitched a dominant three innings, racking up seven strikeouts, to lead the Bobcats to a 13-8 win in the season opener at Southern Maine Diamond Dogs.
