Undefeated and Spinners Springshot Champs!

The red-hot 13U Bobcats won five straight games in the 2016 Jr. Spinners Springshot Tournament, clinching the title with a 9-3 win against Northeast Baseball at LeLacheur Stadium. Tournament MVP Marcus Soucia collected 11 hits and 15 RBIs in the tourney, including a big game in the opener against Jr. Spinners Prospects. After erasing a five-run deficit, Luke Ramsey's walk-off single in the seventh inning propelled the Bobcats to an 8-7 win against the Prospects. In the championship game, the Bobcats rallied and took the lead on Soucia's bases-loaded double. Josh Morissette pitched four innings to earn the win, and steady lefty Dan Sarmiento closed out the victory in the seventh. In pool play, the Bobcats racked up 20 hits against Spinners Scout, including an inside-the-park homer by Ramsey and three hits by Ryan Smith. Luke Ramsey pitched a dominant five innings for the win. In other games, Nick Kiah threw a no-hitter against the Hit Doctors, and Peter Haas earned the victory in the semifinals with three strong innings.
